Forest Ridge News and Events...

Greetings, FRES Community,

We wish to thank you for supporting America Education Week.  Our students enjoyed having you in the classroom. Thank you for taking time from the business of the season to join us. It made the days special!

Our Book Fair has been a huge success thus far. You have today and tomorrow to  make it all happen!

This week presents an opportunity for you to meet with your child's teacher. Please take advantage of this time. Come prepared with questions that enable you to see how your child is progressing academically. Take this time to find out how you can assist your child. We look forward to seeing you.

One last note, our Quarterly Pep Rally was a huge hit today! Students were acknowledged for efforts in Related Arts and Attendance. We had a terrific time. Our new Eddie made his appearance as well. This was our trial run. We will be sure to share dates and times for the Quarter II Pep Rally.

Your partnership in all endeavors is appreciated. Thank you for all that you do in making Forest Ridge the fantastic place it is!

Sincerely,

Genée A. Varlack, Ed.D,

Principal

We do not allow students to bring toys to school, including fidgets, unless the item is part of a specific educational plan the child has.

Parents, We Need Your Help
We have had an increasing number of students dropped off early lately.  Please understand that the only students who should be coming in early are those who are registered in the before care program.  Students may enter the building at 9:00 and are late if they are not in their seat in the classroom by 9:15.  Thanks!

Family File Update
Number of children whose parents haven't updated: 9.  Almost there!!  Remember that your child will not be able to attend a field trip until the information is updated.  The file must be updated by the payment due date on the permission slip.  Report cards will also be withheld.

Follow this link for more information.

Holiday Help
The winter holiday season is a nice time to enjoy family and friends! It may also be a time of stress as individuals try to provide the traditional family feast. If you or another FRES family you know need assistance in gathering the fixings for this year’s Thanksgiving meal, call us!
